Lakesmere gets creative for charity!

Teams from across the Lakesmere Group’s regional network are helping to put the fun back into fundraising by taking part in numerous events throughout the year to help support the company’s chosen charity, children’s hospice Naomi House & Jacksplace.

Lakesmere is a long term supporter of the Hampshire based charity, which specialises in delivering palliative care for terminally ill children and their families.  Following on from the company’s annual Christmas raffle which saw over £1480 raised for the charity, this year’s calendar of events has already got off to a flying start with cake baking, pancake making and most recently, various Red Nose wearing antics in aid of Comic Relief.

In April, two members of the Lakesmere South team will be taking their fundraising efforts to even greater heights by completing a sponsored skydive and with several other events planned, the company is hoping to raise a substantial sum of money for its nominated charity.

To help coordinate the different fundraising initiatives across Lakesmere’s regional offices, a dedicated Social Committee has been set up and as committee member and Lakesmere’s head of group marketing Mo Morgan explains, there’s plenty going on.

“Lakesmere has a long history of fundraising for Naomi House Hospice and we are proud to have been able to support the incredible work they do with various events over the years. Not only that, but creating a fun and enjoyable place to work is also important. The social committee has come up with a great calendar of events including bake sales, film nights, car washing and BBQs to get the whole office involved whilst at the same time raising money for a great cause. I’m really proud to be part of it.”
