Lakesmere was appointed to design and install multiple Kalzip roofs for the construction of the new Kinross High School.

Designed to include seven distinct zones that each house a different facility, the layout of the new school boasts a challenging staggered roof design, comprising of multiple roof constructions. Lakesmere worked closely with both the architect and main contractor to finalise the design requirements of various intricate interfaces to ensure the installation process wasn’t subject to any delays. As the roofs were of varying levels, relevant health and safety training was also completed to ensure the safety of all site personnel throughout the installation.

As well as creating the visually stunning design, Lakesmere also had to make it work in terms of meeting the relevant acoustic regulations. Through the successful integration of standard and acoustic Kalzip systems demonstrates Lakesmere expertise as a Teamkal installer Lakesmere was able to create a roof construction that successfully met the relevant acoustic regulations for the different elements of the school.

Careful logistical planning and site management was vital to ensuring that the complex roof construction was completed on time with close collaboration between Lakesmere, the other trades on site as well as the main contractor and architect being instrumental in the project being delivered to schedule and budget.
