Lakesmere North played a major role in the completion of the striking new Air Traffic Control (ATC) Centre at Manchester Airport, where the team undertook various roofing and cladding works working alongside main contractor Morgan Sindall.

Lakesmere’s contract included the design and installation of Kalzip roofing and anodised Sotech rainscreen to the Base Building and Tower Cab. The £20m new tower, which at 60 metres is the second tallest in the UK, became operational in June 2013 on the 75th anniversary of the airport’s opening.

The completion of the ATC Centre at Manchester Airport adds to the Lakesmere Group’s growing portfolio of successful aviation contracts, including projects at Farnborough, Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
